Does anyone else find it creepy when parrots talk to you? I was in this pet store today for birds, and i was lavished with a thousand 'hello' and 'pretty bird' parroty comments. It's just weird. It makes me feel sorry for them, being in captivity long enough with people barking phrases at them everyday for hours. Weird. 
And aren't scarlet macaws endangered? I thought you couldn't sell them in pet stores.

I never much liked birds in cages, it just seems so unjustifiable. Saying that, a parrot has never spoken to me and I now feel somewhat snubbed.
