Niki is just amazing!! Wow!!
Anyway, I'm here. I'm still alive. All is well...
Except for the fact that I feel as though I have ducks shoved up my nose. I've been sick for the past several days and I am WAY ready for it to be over. It started on Saturday... it wasn't too bad, mild congestion, headache... that was about it. Then on sunday evening things took a turn for the worse. Headache, severe congestion, earache, sore throat, fever you name it, I had it.
Then like an idiot, I went to work on Monday anyway, In Hanover! Practically an hour from home. When I came home after work I collapsed into bed and didn't wake up until the following morning where I still went to work. Big mistake. I could barely stand up let alone work. I ended up going home earlier and medicating myself into a coma.
It wasn't as bad yesterday. I did manage to make it through an entire shift. (I will thank Tylenol Severe Cold and Flu for that.) I spent the remainder of my evening wrapped tightly in my comforter, lounging in a heavily padded armchair in front of my computer.
Today I feel a little better, but still definitely sick. Good thing I have the day off. I intend to use it for rejuvenation.
Whew!
On February 2nd I go on vacation to see my family in Washington. I'm so excited I can hardly contain anything at all. At first, the plan was to go to California to Disneyland because I have never been, but that has changed. My grandmother is currently going through chemotherapy radiation and things have taken a turn for the worst, so I have decided to cancel Disneyland so that I can go home and spend time with my grandmother. It might be the last time I get to.
On a cheerier note, I am definitely looking forward to seeing everyone else as well. My little brother, my older brother, Mom, step-dad, dad, both sets of grand parents, and all of my friends from high school who weren't 21 the last time I visited and are now!
The vacation will be something much needed for me. I've been in kind of a rut. Mild depression. I miss my family horribly and I haven't seen them in over a year so this is looked forward to with great anticipation.
My cat thinks that her food is a toy and I must go clean it up now. Thanks, Tiki.
I love you all. How are you doing? I miss you....

twinkie:
Oh, no feel better!! I'm trying to keep a cough and chest heaviness at bay. Apparently I need to go sit in a sauna or some such!
