Been forever since I posted a blog here... Been lurking around a fair amount but never seem to have the motivation to post so I'll try and catch you all up at least a little.
In November I moved out of my mom's place (finally) and into an apartment with some of my friends and after finding ourselves going through some financial issues there are now five of us in this little three bedroom and we are moving a sixth in so that it will be easier to afford rent. We all have jobs but where two of us work you don't get a raise, ever, two of the others do game testing which is contract work and the other is at gamestop so hours are difficult to come by.
Even with the shitty situation I'm having with money thanks to rent and what not I want to have a party and invite the SDSG crew over (never did get to have that housewarming party). I think it would be a blast having them around for a party, just got to plan it out so that I can afford it.
Other then that work has been going fairly well, I'm impressing my bosses with the fact that I know how to handle myself in a call center (I've worked them for over two years now so I should how I know what I'm doing!) and even though they make jokes that I always have the most supervisor calls I really don't have that many considering the volume of calls I take each day.
Working at SOE also introduced me to an awesome guy, he's the bassist of Her Bed of Thorns a local band here in San Diego and rather good I might add. They've been taking me with them to their shows and having me take pictures (and starting the next show video) so that they have content for their website and facebook page. I know I'm by no means a professional but I love that they want me there taking pictures for them. And just getting to hang out with them before and after the show is awesome.
I think that's about it at the moment, I'll be posting some more pictures of the Her Bed of Thorns shows here as well as on my DeviantArt account (just message me if you want a link) so hopefully I"ll be more active. Also I'm planning on going to the Blarney Stone for St. Partick's day so if you are looking for a good Irish pub to go to think about joining me!
