Way busy this weekend. Friends visiting from out of town. Lots of hours at work. Don't have time to really say anything or reply to anyone. See you all (or some of you anyway) at SGFL camping next weekend!)
So, here is something for you to think about:
-In 1951, Miss Sweden was 5ft 7in tall and weighed 151 lbs. In 1983, Miss Sweden was 5ft 9in tall and weighed 109 lbs. While beautiful women are slimmer, average women are heavier. Thus the discrepency between the real and the ideal is greater. (Mary Pipher, Reviving Ophelia)
will write more when I am not so damn busy.

In England a while back The Body Shop stores sold a doll named 'Ruby.' She was like a Barbie doll, but had the dimensions of an average woman. I have pictures somewhere. . . . I'll see if I can find them. . . .
