Sayah was fucking awesome. Piss poor turn out though. It was supposed to start at twelve, but due to techincal problems the first band did not start playing until one thirty. Even with the poor planning, I was very impressed with all of the bands. I was expecting them to all sound like a crappy garage band.
It started off with my friend Halen's band, Circle the Wagons. They were still working out the kinks, so we could hear the lead singer Jonathan fine, but not so much of Halen. Next up was Ember. By this time it was getting fucking hot, The lead singer Britteny had to collect herself from the heat after every song. Plenty of water was consumed by all this day. There was an hour break after this because the switchboard overheated. After this was Phasers on Stun, this was my freind Scott's band. Scott is the bassist for them. In the small crowd that was there, majority of the people that were not in a band were there to see Phasers on Stun. Next was the band Horror '57. I had meet there drummer AJ before. I think that they were the best band there. All of the bands seemed to have been pissed at how shitty the day had went. It was understandable though. When Horror '57 was finished, the people running the event had to shut down for awhile because of a wedding. At this point, I was fucking dehighdrated. Most of the members of Circle the Wagons, Phasers on Stun and Horror ' 57 head out than. So I headed home and crashed for a couple of hours. I went back to the show later that night but I was unimpressed by the few bands I saw there, but that could have something to do with me not knowing any of the band members. I tried to chat up a little cutey that had been there all day, but could not get anywhere with her.
I came away from it with a sunburn, a couple of bucks broker, and a really good day.
