Hey Ya’ll!
It’s been a wild summer and my last in Japan for now. I found out I’m going back to Korea for a year!!! Which is exciting and a bummer but for the best. My family doesn’t come with me on this one but we get a better shot at going somewhere we want after and my wife gets another year at home close to her family so lots of time with Gpa, Gma, Aunts, Uncle, and Cousins for the little one! No news yet on where we go next but we’re aiming for Europe or Okinawa, fingers crossed!
I made it up Mt. Fuji again! It’s one of those things that I’ve loved doing every year and look forward to climbing with my boy when he’s ready in the future! If you’re wondering if you should visit Japan and climb Mt. Fuji when you do the answer is yes!!!
We had big sports day event all day that was really fun. I played softball, volleyball, and did tug of war. We were softball champs and placed third and second in the other two. My firefighters were dodgeball champs and the new guy made a clutch 1v2 victory in game 3. My squadron won overall in the large squadron category, it was a great day with some very close competition! We’ve been super busy this month with two big events and hands on live fire training with our new officers showing them all the stuff we do. So it was great to relax today. We also had a hitchhiker that rode back to the station with us on one of the trucks! Always fun seeing praying mantises, you never know when they’ll pop up! I moved em off our truck tire to a more suitable spot.
Hope you all are doing well out there! I certainly don’t post much these days but I’ve been keeping up!
