How's everybody been? Okay?
Seems like lots of shit is going down in lots of places, but then I'm hardly the most observant of cats in the best of times.
But I for one, am not going to blame it on Mars being the closest it's been to Earth in 65,000 years or whatever. I'm sorry, but I just do not buy into the whole astrology thing; I do not. It seemeth me one easy way to shift responsibility off yourself, or anything for that matter.
"Oh! I got fired from my job, but it's not my fault, my boss was being an ass because he's an Aries and Mars is closer to the Earth than it has been in 65,000 years. And Saturn is waning in the 6th house. Not because I was late for the 16th time in two weeks."
Now how logical does that sound to you?
In other news, my sleep schedule has been super-messed up lately. I somehow fell into this falling aslee at 6-8am thing and waking up at 3-4 in the afternoon. I'm not a fan of this. But it's hard to break too. Strange dreams, and stranger lethargy during the day...could be early onset of depression, but I'm having way too much fun. I got an idea the other night when I was falling asleep at 6am that woke me wide awake to the point where I couldn't get back to sleep again until I'd worked on it a little (8am). The idea fizzled. That was rather frustrating.
I finally have reason to put my expertise to the test (we need an axe to chop our newly acquired firewood), and no funds to do so. Damn being poor.
I keep getting distracted by the thumbnail for Nala's Tap set in the sidebar as I write this. That girl has one attractive tucus.
I had a lot of fun at Pirate Thursday - thanks be to all who showed, it was a good time had by all I think. Except maybe the zucchini.
I also got to go see Chuck Palahniuk's speaking date / book signing at Powell's a few nights back - and that man aside from being a great author - is a masterful storyteller. I've never seen someone pass out from listening to a story before. Neat. Kind of gross, but neat. On top of that, I just finished Diary a little bit ago, and I'm still in the process of forming an opinion on it. But again, I can say I've read all Chuck's work.
And what you can't understand you can make mean anything.
Ergh. Goodnight.

"mars is closest to the earth. everyone is more aggressive than usual. because i know this, i can understand it and act accordingly."
is that still a cop out?
