I got into a political conversation with my grandmother yesterday. I just wanted to see where she was coming from, ya know liking Bush and all. She said she couldn't stand Kerry, and when I asked her why all she could really say was she didn't like his looks. She laughed afterwards, but she really had no grounds for not liking him. I had to know so I asked her what she liked about Bush, what is about him. I shit you not, she said he was a good christian man, and that he was smart. What the fuck? I told her a christian man that pushes his christianity on people is the last thing we need in the white house. I am christian, but i hate it when people do things in the name of religion, especially when what they are pushing doesn't really even go along with the belief structure, like capital punishment. The smart thing just made me laugh. I didn't want to argue to much with her though, she is my grandmother. I just wanted to see where she was coming from,....turns out she doesn't know. It really scares me that there are tons of old people just like her, that know nothing about the facts that will just vote for him because they think he is a good christian man.

Yes... there are millions of them.. and they're retired; so they have plenty of time to get to the polls. Make sure you get your ass out there and vote young man!

i hate the fact that people vote for bush just because he is republican and christian and they think that is good and they don't even look into that persons views or contradictory statements... vote for the best man no matter what party you think you are... vote because you are educated... vote because you want to help the country not just because you think you have to then just pick the party you have always picked... okay that is my rant...
