I'd appreciate all the help I can get at the moment from any bike rally that I may or may not be able to attend I'll explain my situation without getting to far into "gory detail".
I was severely injured last year on January 9, 2004. I am doing good to be walking or riding now. My foot was severred approximately 3/4 of the around by a metal stamping die. It took me a few months of physical therapy to learn to walk, let alone ride. I've managed. although my walking and riding are limited. As I say, I'm tryting to avoid the gory details, but you get the idea, I'm sure.
I want to attend an event on my bike, but as I never know how well I will be functioning from day to day, I am nervous about it. Some days I am able to walk without anyone even knowing the miracle I am a part of, and other days, everyone can witness the hell I endure. This is the only reason that I ask that those who are able to attend event's assist me in my quest.
I want to attend events such as Bike Week, Sturgis, and Biketoberfest, but I have to be positive that I am capable physically to make it, as opposed to attending, and forced simply to drive rather than ride. I want t be able to ride to an event, than confined to cage. I still ride, but I am limited in distance due to possible issues. I hate to admit to that though.
As I say, that is the short version of all that has transpired, without going into all of the gory details. Needless to say though, I have been lucky to rider at all over the last year and a half. I consider myself lucky when I can ride even 50 mioes on a weekend without laying my baby down because I can't hold it up at a stop.
