I finished the guide over the weekend. It turned out to be a bigger project than I anticipated, and took two extra weeks past my official deadline to finish. That didn't matter, however, since my editor was on an extended vacation and just got back. Now it heads to testing, then editing, then the motherfucker gets printed, and then I get paid. Should be about 2 more weeks until I can, officially, refer to myself as a writer without feeling like a complete poser. I got a paycheck for writing something, I'm a writer. That sounds much better than unemployed gamer and blogger.
When the final work is done on this guide I'll be proposing they let me write class guides for them since I see they have one done. One, when there over 24 different playable classes in EQ2. If they go for it, and I can get contracts for all 24 classes, I'm looking at A) steady work for the next few months B) good money C) royalties for each and every one. Which should pay nicely for my new urban lifestyle.
Stumptown coffee and Voodoo donuts don't pay for themselves you know.

Sounds like a nice plan for work there. Also being able to call your self a writer does sound cool.
