It has been one hell of a week. Last Saturday Cody arrived from Orange County. Sunday was my birthday, and at the end of the night we saw Star Trek. Which was awesome. How awesome? It was like an awesome sundae made with 2 scoops of awesome, covered in awesomesauce and awesomesprinkles. It was so much awesome I wanted to stand up in the middle and yell TROGDOOOOOOR!!! and do the metal horns at the screen full of splodey awesomeness.
Seriously, it was good. All except the faux-Kirk. He was kinda weak.
Anyway, the week has been great. Yesterday we drove to Seattle, and spent the day kinda sightseeing. I say kinda because we didn't see all that much. We drove by The Fremont Troll , rode the monorail, and played a lot of Galaga outside of the Science Fiction Museum. We went up the Space Needle, and looked out over the city and the bay for a while enjoying a bag of pretzels and sodas. Then we drove home blaring 80's metal and classic rock. We didn't do all the things we thought of doing while we were there, but all that we set out to do when we left in the morning.
Pro-tip: Crazy Train is a great song to drive through Southern Washington to.
We got back to Portland around 11, so we went to Doug Fir for late night munchies and drinks. It's funny that I lived here for 3+ years and only just went to Doug Fir for the first time a few months ago. It's a very comfy and satisfying place to end a day.
Now she's upstairs asleep, and I... am not. I can't sleep so I have come down here to appease the demons that taunt me by typing in the madness box until they let me sleep. So far they are unsatisfied but I don't feel like typing much more than this.

I've been to Doug Fir!
I love Seattle, but don't think I could live there.
The only good thing about the Kayne video that shot on the lot a few months back was the Galaga machine he had brought in.
This ends my collection of random thoughts. There were more, but only these made the cut.
