You remember that surgery? Yeah, false alarm. It didn't happen. What did happen is my nephrologist and I had a miscommunication about what was going on. See, he did schedule me for me surgery, and I did show up for the surgery he scheduled. It just happens that the surgery I was scheduled for was on my arm, and had nothing to do with my...

Not getting cut is awesome. Maybe not as awesome as putting your guy bits in some girly bits. but pretty awesome nonetheless.

Well there has ended up being something wrong with my peritoneal catheter. It's not an infection, though, so it might be fixable... maybe. In order to find out there will be x-rays, and possibly another surgery. Whoopidy- do!

I tell myself it could be worse. That it could be an infection. That they could have told me yesterday that there is nothing that can be...

Haha!

And I may be late to the party but I hope your surgery is as smooth as can be.

It's a strange time. In my usual attempt to fend off addiction, I stopped taking my oxycodone after 3 days of being out of the hospital. My body didn't like this decision, as it then had to bear the brunt of what it feels like to have a healing wound in your side with a plastic tube sitting right in the way of the knitting...

These good times are fragile things. One playful swipe from that kitty named Life, and you are left shattered and bleeding. I think the people I've most enjoyed spending time with in my life are the ones who know the blows are coming, and have learned how to best enjoy those crystal moments of joy before it's time to find the bandages, and pick up...

Iodine huh? I think I'l start skating again. Then you can drag my rather large ass onto a stretcher and get me to the emergency room when I blow out my knee again.

The surgery went in my favor. As of now I have a peritoneal dialysis catheter, and it should be working in 2 - 3 weeks.

I also have horrible pain around my mid section from being sliced open and a tube stuck in there. It's not the worst pain ever, but it's keeping me in bed for a few more days.

The pain is only...

On Tuesday I go in for surgery. Yes, another one. This one will have life altering results no matter what happens. You might think, "Aren't all surgeries life altering?" This only goes to show you haven't had the wide variety of surgeries I have had. Trust me, this one's important. There isn't exactly a short version of what's going, but here's a shorter version:

The...

Sometimes when this place gets kind of empty,
Sound of their breath fades with the light.
I think about the loveless fascination,
Under the milky way tonight.

tonight I feel a long way from home

You're very welcome. I actually just applied for a "PWN3D" vanity plate for my car, I've wanted it forever; we shall see if I get it.
swingkitten:
I am going to do that, and I am coming straight to you with the picture when it's done. Faaantastic.

haha, yeah. Long hair in the summer time is the suck. Dealing with it also sucks. When I wore my hair long I had to wash it twice a day. If I didn't, instant dreads. So yeah, taking care of it sucked too.

That is so awesome. I'm shocked to tell you the truth. I've never known MMOers to get together to do anything but LAN. surreal

In less than an hour I leave for the airport. Around 8pm tonight I will be standing in the Las Vegas airport. By 9pm I will be neck deep in nerds.

This promises to be a fun weekend.

Enjoy your nerd orgy.

Humor is a tricky thing. It can be hard to tell when someone is telling you something just to make someone (themselves or others) laugh. This becomes even more difficult in a world of pure text where you have to fill in the blanks of voice and body language with your own imagination. The internet is a world of shadow and misconception wearing a brilliant...

I have reached a new pinnacle (or depth, depending on your point of view) of my nerdom. I have transcended the confines of PnP role-playing, and MMO role-playing, and managed to do both at once. Yes, members of my EQ2 have organized a game of Dungeons and Dragons which we play in game. We meet up at another players home in game, stand around his...

I had to read your journal like 3 times to understand what you meant. So...not a LAN party- not someone's actual home. It's some dude's virtual house? That's pretty um...I have no words. It sounds like something MrPRock would do.

You remember that last post? Look like I spoke too soon. I leave for Round 2 of arm surgery in about 3 hours. It's been a pretty crappy week.

I am obviously late. How did round two go?

I am terribly sorry to hear it went badly. Hope the upcoming is not so bad. Relaxing for a couple weeks is good though. Wish I could pull that one off.
