I went on a date tonight
I met a girl Saturday at a gig, we really hit it off and things got rather heated when we said goodbye on the front doorstep of my friends house we all went back to.
She's new to Brighton, just started her PhD, so we met up had a wander around the lanes, got something to eat, wandered round a bit more got a drink somewhere then I walked her most of the way home. I can't tell if it went well or not though, we were talking well most of the night, a few awkward silences but then there always is I suppose, half way through the night I put my arm around her while walking and she reciprocated, there was a light kiss outside the pub and then again when we said goodbye, she was smiling when she said thank you for the night while kissing goodbye and said "maybe see you around at a gig" to which I replied "It would be great to do this again sometime, see you soon" and she smiled again. The kisses were a lot lighter than Saturday, but I think she wanted to slow things down a bit and to be fair, it's got me really hanging on for more, but at the same time I'm anxious that things may not have gone as well as they seem from my perspective and that my assessment is completely wrong.
What do you all think? I really need some advice and opinions, I really like her and having been out of the game for so long I guess I'm just worried.
