I'm determined to beat this wretched depression, but these days I have more mood swings than a pregnant woman (I don't mean that in an at all sexist way), one minute I'm quite joyful, the next I don't feel like I can go on, but the fact that I can feel good is a positive sign.

One thought that does give me strength is knowing that I was and will be again a great boyfriend to someone. I did absolutely everything I could for my ex, most guys would have bolted in my situation but in the end she left me as to not put me through the problems she had; something which does cause some resentment because I put so much damn effort in.

I just find it hard to connect with people on such a deep level.

But (at the risk of sounding arrogant) I'm fucking great! I'm young, reasonably good looking, I'm an impossibly nice guy who would do anything for those I care about, and actually pretty darn good in bed (ok now that does sound arrogant ) Just need to keep telling myself it's her loss!
