Nice weekend...
I hosted a little BBQ on Saturday. Good friends, good food and tons of booze. I took a pretty good fall towards the end of the night. I'm a little banged up but it's OK. Reminds me of when I'd wake up every other day with some sort of new bruise or scrape from skateboarding or just plain old tearin' it up. I don't really rage as hard as I used to, so when I wake up with my knee-scab stuck to my sheet....it's kind of exciting.
I have a funeral to attend this week. A very good friend (and bandmate) lost his girlfriend over the weekend. She had some chronic health issues which were worsening and I guess it was her time to go. Hopefully my buddy is OK and will be able to endure. I can't imagine what it must be like to go through what he did that night....she died while they were together in their home. He said that he was happy that she's no longer in pain, because she was always in pain. I didn't see her much...when I did. She was happy to be out and full of life. You could hear her laugh from across the room.
I think I'm gonna bring him over a pizza or something tonight. I'm sure he's dealing with all of the aftermath and everything but I want to help out any way I can. Even if he eats it later or tomorrow...it's still a good-ass pizza.
I'm moving soon. SO stoked...in many, many ways. The new house is amazing.
I washed my car this weekend. Smells good...and is shiny as hell. It had been about 6 months.
I bought a couple of new western shirts and a new pair of 501's....6 new pairs of boxers too. One of the Western shirts is really, really bad-ass. It wasn't cheap either. Had to have it...gotta have something fancy for the stage when I play with the country band, right?
I went to buy some sunglasses and can't find any. I like the expensive kind, and I hate that. The gas station cheap-o's just don't fit my big old head. Grr.
Printouts are done....back to work.
