PUNK NITE IS ALIVE!!!
Yet another PUNK NITE show is history! It went well, better than the last Dayton PUNK NITE show we had, so it was all good! Not many SG peeps made it out, but thats no big deal as I'd rather see everybody out for the show on the 27th anyways. We ended up having Pizzle cancel so that actually helped us out time wise in the long run. The Mergs kicked off the nite, they were okay but I couldn't really get into them. Next, Children Of Reagan gave us a rockin good time & had us fans singing along to their punk rock stylins. Next, Die Cheerleader Die all the way from Baltimore gave us a nice set mixed with old & new songs. It was a pleasure to hear "Teenage Genocide" & even have it dedicated to me. Rock!!! And of course Legbone ended the nite with a rockin' set of all our favorites which had the crowd right up front singing along, always a good time when you see Legbone! It was good seeing alot of my friends out there like my good buddy Scott, Tim from The Give-Ups, my buddy Gee Gee, all my Die Cheerleader Die peeps & music editor Leslie Benson. Speaking of Leslie, she actually sat down with me & did a nice little interview with me asking about whats up in the future for my PUNK NITE shows which was cool. Hopefully she'll use that stuff for her column sometime down the line, we'll see I guess! And this show marked the debut of PUNK NITE merchandise, it was really cool to have my own little setup just like the bands. I had t-shirts, pins, business cards, SG flyers & SG stickers I was passing out. It was great! And I should be getting my PUNK NITE stickers this week & am considering patches as well. All of this stuff will be available at the show on the 27th, so come out & support PUNK NITE!
In sad news, my MOM's Dad died yesterday. I absolutely cannot stand to see my MOM cry, it really gets to me. I ended up breaking down & crying with her last nite, but I think it was comforting for her that that happened! She's really sad cause she couldn't see him, since he's in FL. But, she did get to talk to him earlier on in the day that he died. She just really wanted to be with all her family out there in FL when he passed, but she seems to be doing okay today. Yesterday was just really rough for her & me. Why do people have to die?
This week I'm off Friday! Woo Hoo! I start promoting for the big PUNK NITE 5 show on March 27th this week, hitting up record stores with posters & flyers for the show. Then Friday I'm getting together with CelticBootGirl & we're going to the Indy skate park in Indianapolis to catch Menstrual Tramps who I'm so anxious to see. Its been a year since I last saw them & I actually thought they broke up, so its good to see they are back at it & touring. I can't wait till Friday to see them!
Who's coming to this?
-Did any famous person's death really affect you & who was it?
-Fav. local band, meaning fav. band from yr area?
-How often do you masturbate?
