Weekends Rock!!!
Its so nice that its the weekend... and that I actually have 2 consecutive days off from work for a change. That hasnt happened since sometime before Christmas so this rocks!!! I've been sleeping on & off some today just chillin' which I do enjoy doing! I woke up pretty early (around 830ish) to make sure I was up when tickets for the WWE went on sale, which I was. And I got 4th row ringside... hell yeah!!! I'm very happy! After that, I went back to sleep for alittle while & here I am now.
Anyways, myself & my wonderful lady friend pixiehead had a long talk yesterday & decided to hold off on meeting. It was a mutual decision & for the best. We just want to get to know each other better & not rush into anything. She's still really awesome though... and one of the coolest peeps I've met! We literally talk like every single day... we're always text messaging each other, talking on the phone some, its really great! We just dont wanna rush anything that could happen! But next weekend, she's planning to come out for my Punk Nite Dayton show next Saturday Jan. 17th. So that would rock... and she even wants to help run the door since we have to provide somebody to do that. How cool is that? But yeah, thats the plan for now!
Speaking of my Punk Nite Dayton show, its gonna be my 1st show of 2004, I'm excited! I went out yesterday & hit up all the local record stores & put up posters & put flyers in them to promote the show. And Sunday I'm going to a Legbone show @ Elbo's in Dayton to pass out flyers & of course to see Legbone! And I just picked up our local weekly, the Dayton City Paper, and they have a nice little thing on the show.
Here's what it read:
Punk Nite hits Dayton
More than a year has passed since area promoter Mike Durian began hosting his well received Punk Nite shows at the Brewery in Troy. The popularity of the raucous musical event has generated a few sparks of interest in the Dayton area, which has culminated in the first local Punk Nite Dayton, which will be held next weekend at Jags. Hosted by Durian and ex-Jackalope guitarist Ron Tinkham, the upcoming gig will feature long time city favorites Legbone, The Give-Ups, The Stretchers, F.B.S., and Robbie Ramone. Ramone, from the band 53rd & 3rd, will perform an acoustic punk set. The other bands will play the loud, rough and ready punk songs for which they are known. The addition of Punk Nite Dayton comes with an added incentive - the show is open to ages 16 and up. It will take place Saturday Jan. 17th at Jags, located at 1227 Wilmington Pike in Dayton. Doors open at 8pm. Admission is $6 for everyone.
So all in all, things are going good!!! And Tuesday Freddy Vs. Jason comes out on dvd, I'm so buying it. I cant wait till the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre comes out on dvd though, sure hope its soon!
Shout outs to everybody here on SG... you all rock my world like nobody else's business. Thanks for being so cool!!!
Its time for 3 questions w/ Mikey!!!
1. What is yr favorite city or cities that you've lived at or visited?
2. What was the best concert / show you ever saw... lineup, date, where it was, etc. etc.???
3. Whats yr favorite cd or cd's of all time?
