Hello SG friends and neighbors,
I hope this finds you all well and good and staying cool as possible.
I miss you all! I have been on from time to time but haven't updated or done much else but look at the day's girls. Hopefully I can spend a little more time around here for a while.
Well the book is done, the corrections are done and things are slowing down just in time for my day job to demand more and more time from me. So it goes.
Things are good. Maya and I have hit a kind of relationship plateau - we are working on all the issues that you deal with as you become a mature couple. Its kind of sad - after fifteen or so months the "honeymoon" starts slowing down a bit, and the real work of the relationship begins. But I am happy and satisfied that we have made it this far. Its good.
Are you hunkering down for the recession? I have a library card, cookbooks full of yummy dishes that will allow me to avoid going out to eat, a bus line I can take to work and free entertainment in many, many forms. I suggest that all of you get ready for a prolonged stint as poor folk. My thought: Its probably good for the soul.
I havent been to a show, club or heavy party in too long. I may have to throw one.
Well, thats about it for this morning. I will try to visit everyones journals this weekend.
take it light,

Taoist thought of the day: The claws of the tiger are a part of the cycle.
Cat Report: VIndaloo developed a needy streak over the last month or so. She whines a lot these days to be held, to be fed, etc. But like everything with her its a minor annoyance. She is usually great. Bacchus follows me around the house with love in his eyes. I have never had a dog so into me.
Factoid: My first vinyl record was the Flash Gordon soundtrack. I have it on DVD now. In twenty years Ill probably have it on internal brain drive or something.
Currently digging: Heat-beating cold suppers, fava beans, healthy obsession, Slaughterhouse 5, hard work, quiet time, my folks
