so this morning i was greeted by a gigantic grasshopper outside my door sitting on my gardening gloves.
he intrigued me so i searched for something to put him in,but i didn't want to trap him or for him to die so i just gently picked up the gloves and laid them down on the patio to observe him. i was scared he'd jump and frighten me but i wanted to see him jump. i used a stick to nudge him a bit but he barely moved. i kept trying and he wouldnt jump so i got fed up and told him to do whatever he wants and left. I came back a few minutes later and he was still there, all calm and peacful. i figured by this time i was comfortable enough that i would pick him up and just touch him and observe him. i began stroking his leg and caring for him. he freaked out and jumped away and left me. much so like everyone else has....
