I managed to squeeze in the MxPx show at Graceland and had a pretty good time. I met the band members once before, so it was fun to see them play. One good thing about an all ages show at the Graceland is the bar area. Whew, it's nice to get away from the prepubescent beasties and have a drink.

The Built to Spill/Pixies show just flat out rocked my ass. It had been a while since I had seen the Pixies, and they played a really fantastic set. Especially wonderful was Kim's mellow crooning on a slow version of 'Wave of Mutilation'. Lots of cuties in the crowd, too, which added to the sense of euphoria. Next up...MxPx at Graceland.

Can't wait to see Built to Spill/The Pixies @ Bumbershoot on Monday. Enjoy your weekend!
