So I've seen several movies this past week/weekend. I have to recommend "Elephant," a day-in-the-life type movie that follows several students on the day of a columbine-esque school shooting. Also, "May," a disturbing little number about a girl who makes her own friend, literally. Some very disturbing scenes that manage to be funny in a not so laugh-out-loud way.
More importantly, I was back in Chicago tonight to see Defiant Theatre's production of "Pyrates" at the Chopin Theater. Rad. Waaaaaaay Rad. I have to make it back for their staging of "A Clockwork Orange." Unfortunately it was "Pyrates" last night so I cant prove once and for all how cool I am by recommending it.
"Ariel" was, by the way, phenomenal, and if you dig poetry I highly recommend it.
My friend from Jersey (who came to visit two weeks ago) decided to stay until I head east for the protests in New York. Afterwards he may be moving out here, which is kinda rad, as I dont really know anybody where I live. I have 'work' friends, some of whom have become 'gym' friends, but as working and working out are far from my fav things in the world, that just isnt enough to have in common.
By the way, this shit is really boring, so quit reading it already, but dont necessarily quit leaving notes

It's funny, the first I heard of Pyrates was at my Princeton Review audition. The...hmmm....design manager???...was there too and he did some shameless self-promotion. I never made it but I do love the Chopin.
My ex keeps recommending Goodbye Lenin but she's from Germany so only has it with no subs. The other 2 I haven't heard of but will look for.
Okees, I'm off the VA 'til Sunday, where internet connections will be dodgy and access to naked girls even more so. Have a peachy week.
