The police found my bass. It was pawned for $53 a couple of miles from me. Can you believe that? I spent almost $1,000 and uncountable man-hours building that thing, and it was pawned for $53. Jesus tap-dancing Christ! At any rate, Im getting it back. I should call the detective Monday to check in, but he said hed get it from the pawn shop, put it in impound, and file the appropriate paperwork. I have to go to a hearing in order to get it back. From what I understand, the hearing is to let anyone who thinks they have a legitimate claim to the property to make their case. In this situation, thats me and only me. In other situations, say if I had insurance, made a claim, and received a check from my insurance agency, they could show up and demand the bass to recoup that check.

i'm glad they found it! you put so much work into it, it would have been a bummer not to have gotten it back
