If Arizona is Satans asshole, then I-17 is his digestive tract. I hate driving that highway every day on my way to work. Unfortunately, hitting any of the other highways will add 10-15 minutes to my overall journey. Then again, some days I spend that extra time sitting at a complete stand-still in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
Phoenix has grown much too fast, and the roads are unable to keep up with all of the people. Lord knows the state is trying, but its not moving fast enough to make a big difference.
Work is excellent not much to report on that front. Weve been busy as hell. Our schedule usually consists of several weeks where we dont have a moments rest, then a week or so when we have absolutely nothing to do, then busy-busy-busy all over again. Im hoping for one of those lulls in activity soon. Im getting frazzled.
Pete (short for Peg-Leg Pete the Scorpion) seems to be doing well. Hes been moving around a lot lately, and ate two fuckin crickets in the last two days. What a pig!
I think he might be molting. The exoskeleton on his back looks like its coming off. When I found him, he had a small spot on his back that had that white filmy look that hard water leaves behind when it dries. Now its all over his back. So, hes either going to molt soon, or he has some strange disease and its eating him alive.
Im going to buy this soon. Its rather geekerrific, and itll free up a nice chunk of room on my desk. Ive been rocking a CRT for long enough. Plus, I want a new toy and another item I can check off of my stuff I need list. Yes, the endless Quest to Acquire More Stuff continues.
