It kind of feels like the last week of school: all the finals are done; you just have to show up. I start the new job on Monday and I'm pretty excited about it.
Of course, as fate would have it, I got a semi-legitimate offer for a Network Analyst position at U.S. Airways at the end of last week. Its better pay and some pretty neat benefits, but its too much stress. I don't want to be responsible for a global network that loses a company hundreds of thousands of dollars for every minute its down.
A clip from Strange Wilderness' trailer:
Waaaaa-hauh-hauh-hauh!
We did quite a bit of extra work for a customer on Monday, so they threw us a couple of Cerwin-Vega sub-woofers for our trouble. We were joking about them giving us some 'woofers for moving their servers, but at the end of the day the President of the company asked one of the guys there to "break open a pallet and get these guys a couple of sub-woofers." Awesome.
Now I have to upgrade the system in my car. Darn it.
