I sit here stuck in the 20th century. My mom still hasn't moved away from dial-up Internet. The reason she doesn't subscribe to DSL is because they don't use the Internet enough to justify it. Why don't they use the Internet much? Because, and I quote, "it's slow."
Sound logic, mom. I told her I'd send her the difference in cost between the two if she'd just do it already.
I had dinner, drinks and saw a movie with the ever-so-complicated-relationship-friend-slash-ex-girlfriend-best-friend Heather last night. We went to Applebee's (that's right, my home town has an Applebee's now, we're movin' up in the world) and then decided that we had enough time to stop by the bar at this Mexican place near the theater. There we found a couple of her friends at the bar who proceeded to buy us both drinks. I had some blue thing called a Mar Azul that was rather tasty, and probably contained enough alcohol to kill a moose. Then I had some of what was called a "Guadalahara," followed by roughly 32 ounces of beer.
The movie was really funny.
Our trip to the beach cabin was postponed a day because her parents needed her to work at their auto shop at the last minute, so instead of going down to Cathlamet today and leaving for the beach this evening, we're going to probably have to skip Cathlamet all together and head to the beach tomorrow night instead. No big deal, I suppose, but I hate it when everything that I have planned out goes down the shitter. It's pretty disappointing.
Thank God for the Nintendo DS I bought the other day. I bought (New!) Super Mario Brothers, Sim City DS, Star Trek Legacy-something, and Justice League. I've been playing the hell out of it, because, you know, I can't go anywhere. I wish I had more projects around the house to work on, but I used that up yesterday when I re-built a flower bed for my mom at the front of the house.
What games must I have for the DS? And while I'm at it, for the Wii? Do share.

I just finished building myself a desk. Nothing fancy or anything, but I really like it!
Haven't stained it yet. I may hit you up for some advice when i do.
