A lot of things have happened since my last update. Here are the highlights, so I can spare you the paragraphs.

Got an $8,000 raise
Might move to the IT department at work (another raise!)
Handling the IT work for a real estate management company
Got an offer to be the guy that our sister company throws in the direction of data T1 customers who dont have an IT person

I was going to take pictures of the modifications I did on my jazz bass, but I never got around to it. One of these days Ill do it and post them. Ive also disassembled the bass I built last year in order to re-do the finish. I bought an orbital sander today to help me out a bit.

Saturday morning at 3AM I was woken up by the sound of water trickling above the ceiling. Not good! I wait a bit and then hear the sound of water dripping onto my carpet. Perfect! Water starts to pour of my sprinkler head. Then it moved. Water started to pool above the sheet rock and come out in other places. It rained all day. I emptied buckets upon buckets hundreds of gallons (not an exaggeration) of water. Check out the pictures. Theyre pretty much a summary of what happened. The damage to the ceiling is worse now than in those pictures; I took them around mid-day Saturday. Picture more bulges in the sheet rock where the tape is and places where there just isnt paint any more.

I had to miss my boss' birthday party and the SGAZ event.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I also spilled about 20oz of Pepsi on my work laptop Friday afternoon. OMG, is it dead? No! I turned it off before it fried anything and cleaned every inch with alcohol pads. It runs like a champ. I nabbed a keyboard out of another D500 to replace mine, though. Even after I cleaned all the little springy plastic things it was still terrible.
