You know what I dont like? Two-piece fake velvet jumpsuits.
I almost have all of the parts for my new bass. I bought two pieces of 2 x 7 1/2" x 21 ash that Im going to glue together in anticipation of another bass somewhere down the road. After its dry Ill have the wood shop down the street mill it down to 1 1/2" thick.
Speaking of wood shops down the street, theres a wood shop down the street that I didnt know about until the middle of last week. Rob at Guitar Electronics mentioned it and suggested I see them about the mill/face work on my wood. Now I dont want to moveI have a guitar shop and a wood shop within a 1/8th of a mile from where I live. Im not sure if it gets any better.
Then again, I cant wait to get the hell out of this complex and move somewhere closer to work.
Geek mode: I bought a model of the U.S.S. Enterprise D off of eBay to put together. Im not sure why, but I suddenly wanted to build one. I have pieces of a P-51D Mustang sitting out on the patio drying, too. Ive been working on that a now and then when I remember.
I should also have Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance and a three-string retainer for my new bass coming in the mail next week. I love getting packages. I should buy stuff more often so I keep a steady flow of mail coming.
Its such a nice day. I cut down the stick of wood that sits in my sliding glass doors track so I could open it up and let fresh air into my room. I have all the windows and blinds open so the apartment is bright and theres a nice breeze circulating. Im listening to Jimmy Buffet and drinking beer. Bliss.
And when it all goes to hell,
