I'm not sure if we've covered this, but gotta say I'm lovin' the new Queen's tune. Unfortunately my sickness isn't quite as rocking. Common flu and cough for me, unfortunately.
Regarding the Manifesto, I wouldn't let it get you down too much. Not sure how you're going with it, but there aren't any huge surprises coming. For every insightful comment pointed towards middle America comes the realisation that this character - or characters, is a theory I have - has never really had to want or work for anything. Everything - whether he wants it or not - can be handed to him. He/They basically represent this new youth who, no matter what opportunities they're given, will always be discontent and will always want more. They've seen Fight Club far too many times. They don't want to be their parents, but they don't want to accept responsibility.
I wouldn't read too much into it. The lesson I took away was that anyone can go out and do the self publish thing. Writing something actually worthwhile that says something new is the hard part.
Once I'm done with Rant, I'll be starting on Crash. Kiss Me Judas will follow shortly after, with a newly acquired copy of Watchman falling in there somewhere.

Stay well sir.
