i am currently caught up working as the field director for a city council campaign.
though this is the smallest campaign i've worked on to date, it has some personal significance to me. the candidate who i am trying to help get elected is asian. there are currently only 2 elected asian officials in the whole state. which is both surprising and typical - surprising b/c in a state like ny, there are lots of asians, but typical b/c culturally asians as a whole do not get involved in politics.
on a wholly unrelated note, one of the MOST annoying things possible is to be late to something and get to the subway as the train is pulling out of the station. UGH.
worse than that - potholes and headwind in BOTH directions when riding a bicycle!
