I spent the majority of today in the lions den trying to pry my car from the jaws of the NYPD. Unfortunately its not as simple as taking a little voucher to the impound or precinct, pay a small fine and getting it back. Instead, I am intimidated by phrases such as asset forfeiture, have your lawyer call the ADA, call the civil enforcement unit and my favorite, oh, it may already be too latelet me checkone momentor you know what, just call back tomorrow. I fear I may not be getting it back, though I am keeping some hope.

My chest pains have gone away for now, but the physical pain is replaced by emotional ones. Its complicated to explain, as are all matters of the heart. I wish I had the verbal skills to elaborate, but I dont, so Ill just sulk sullenly until I am distracted.

Its a shame more people are not upset about the tsunami song played on nys hot 97 radio station.

Its a greater shame more people are not troubled by the sharp rise in child kidnappings, child perversion and general child (insert bad things done to children here) in asia since the tsunami. I have a friend who is now in Thailand actively helping with the rebuilding efforts and I am tempted to go too.

I saw a woman get killed at a 6 train station. Apparently she dropped a bag on the tracks, got on the tracks to retrieve it and was killed b/c she couldnt get back up in time. I was standing about half way down from the end of the platform and by the time I realized what was going on and why this hunter college girl was screaming hysterically for attention, I only saw a glimpse of the woman before being hit.

Why is life so complicated?

Sometimes I just need a shoulder to cry on.

"Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work,
driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for,
in order to get to a job that you need so you can pay for the clothes, car and the house that you leave empty all day in order to afford to live in it." -- Ellen Goodman

remembering to not be normal and that happiness is a direction, not a place.

Actually, I just thought that I loved one more than the other...otherwise, I would have never broken it up.
