Went to the fireworks display at Mt. Rushmore last night. There were a couple of fly-bys before the main attraction. A B-52 flew over and then a B-1. The B-1 was weak. They didn't even hit the afterburners. My brother said that they were probably a little wary considering a B-1 crew was called on the carpet for letting a visiting General roll the aircraft a few weeks ago.
But the fireworks were impressive. A few of the rockets misfired. They exploded too close to the ground and sent sparks showering down the four faces. It was cool. Then we got to sit in the parking lot for two and a half hours. That was cool too. My brother's wife had a box of gobstoppers. We talked over the script a little bit. And that's always fun.
Speaking of which, I've gotta get back to work. Refocus the laser. I crack myself up. I've got the attention span of a moth. And I'm just as easily distracted.

mine is set in the south which is funny because i have never really been to the south which is why it is called " my kinda south ". catchy huh. basically a story of two brothers. when the family has to deal with tradegy, the one brother splits town to travel the world leaving lil bro to make his own way. throw in the mysterious suicide of the boys alcoholic father, the return of the prodigal son, and a cast of eccentrics that the south is known for. combine early r.e.m. videos with "fargo" with the nostalgic feel of "stand by me". it's all about the cinematography. i would like to capture the essence of this small town in georgia the way spike lee did that one city block in bedstuy brooklyn new york. radio raheem like a motherfucker.
probably sorry you asked now i'm sure. i'll cut you a break. i almost took a job once in mobile alabama. that is as close to mississippi as i get. don't think i have the temperment for tour guide but i will get south soon. not right now right now... but later later...
