Im so sorry to hear that, its awful and I know how you must be feeling but it doesn't help. My situation was pretty similar but it was no where near as long as 8 years, I dont know whats wrong with people, the grass isn't going to be greener over there like they seem to think. I loved the last sentence and tears in the rain that you left, I dont think I could think of any better way to put it. Hope this passes for you soon.
