So, I've been in Portland for a few months now...
This city is amazing, sometimes I forget and get caught up with work or stuff around the house, but this city has a lot to offer. You realize just how unique it is when the sun comes out after months of rain.
Portlanders, like zombies hunting for brains, flock to the parks and downtown, flooding the streets and markets with bikes, dogs, and a ridiculous number of cute girls. No, really, I've never seen so many girls, and guys, where I had to take a second look, just to make sure they were that cute. Tattoos, piercing, that's the start, most that I've met are also really bright, and have a lot of really well-thought-out opinions and know their shit. And for me, nothing is sexier that intelligence.. no, really, it definitely gets me hot.
I spent the this last warm and sunny Sunday at the local park here in Southeast. It was loaded with people on bikes, playing frisbee, or just lying around. We met up with a little BBQ, and some drinks, and sat around for a good five hours eating, chatting, and people watching. Spent the majority of my time wandering and snapping various photos of Portlanders. As my roommate put it, while Portland may be 85% white, it's "homogeneously diverse". He then added that should be the city's slogan, since the majority of slogans tend to leave out minorities anyway.
Well, the point is, if you like good music, great food, tasty beer, fun people, and cute girls/boys... then come to Portland.
One catch, it's about to start the whole rainy season again, so give it a little bit longer
