Well, I have just one job now and consequently three days a week to sleep, cook and generally be lazy. That'll do for a couple of months I suppose, I've earned a respite anyhow.
I've been reading the Dhammapada (the collected sayings of Buddha) and find myself amazed. I looked for this perhaps ten years ago but wasn't able to find it, and now I can see why. Having read it then, it would have made very little sense to me, but now... now I read it and boggle at the clarity of common sense. Real, practical advice that lays summarizes all of the values I've been developing since I attained self-awareness at the age of seventeen or so. There is good advice on what to do and what not to do in that book which I'm taking to heart and using as a sort of focus to move me beyond anywhere I've been in the last couple of years, emotional-spiritual-social-wise. I've got to give thanks here to Keith for his recommendation on the translation I bought.
