Wanting to have a formal touch base with everyone, as some practical and technical things have kind of progressed to the point where I'm needing to make alterations enough - to make a notice <3
So, long story short - In addition to a drastic change of employment, moving, and ongoing health issues causing "a bit" of a delay in my editing queue over the past few months - my laptop (almost 10 years old) is no longer capable of running lightroom or photoshop in order to keep up with edits I am attempting to tackle... or at all really. Luckily I have kind of power-housed through options to secure a loan to get a computer, before the month's end, to get my workflow reset and get back on track with edits and other work related things. I should be able to solidify a bit of time adjustments to my "day job" to work on edits to get things back to people - as well as being able to enlist some help in editing assistance from my traveling SG creative duo co-part @stormyent (WOOT WOOT!) - to help speed up the process of getting edits back to models and into the queue, before the summer! Stormyent is both incredibly talented and trustworthy and has collaborated with me in front and behind the camera many times. I have trusted Stormy to edit myself many times and her work speaks for itself, with both shot sets, and editing work for other creatives in the alternative community <3
With me not having a guarantee that funds will be cleared before mid-month- this does put a dent in my projected editing queue being completed by the end of this month, so I am wanting to formally apologize to everyone for both the already lengthy wait, as well as the additional delay. Thank you all SO much for your patience. I am making every attempt to move past this added hiccup and have all sets sent back to you all by or before June 1st.
As an added apology for the inconvenience of the wait- for any hopefuls who had paid for their shoots with me, if you would like to collaborate again during a shootfest set up in the future ( or if you are local to me and have access to a location) I will shoot a set or a freelance shoot for you at no charge, once my current editing queue has cleared.
As a note, going forward: I will be limiting my shooting availability to 3 sets per standard month and 8 sets per shootfest/shooting trip, to guarantee edits can be submitted back to models within 4 weeks of shooting, for regularly scheduled shoots, and 6-8 weeks for sets shot at shootfest- to avoid further delays, in the future (unless, of course, the SG gods want me shooting 10 sets a day at a shootfest or something- then we will do it for the gods in that case and sleep later!)
