Okie, so this week's homework from @lyxzen @missy @rambo and @charmaine was to talk about our superstitions!
While I don't consider myself a traditionally superstitious person, I do hold some of those and toss in a few of my own. So let's talk about how weird I am for a little bit (hha).
1. That whole spilling salt thing? yep. Totally on that.
2. Unlucky 13. Not unlucky or dark to me though. I really dig it, or anything that involves the number. Friday the 13th? Even better. I love doing creative things on that day, or planning cool things. The next friday the 13th (march 13th), I'm planning on taking the train to portland, getting tattooed, shooting babes, and getting up to some major tom foolery.
3. more of an OCD quality than a superstition, but I do most things in 3s, or in dividends of 3 or will choose things with 3 in them (like 13).
4. I'm REALLY weird about Deja Vu. I can't explain it. I get it all the time. It creeps me the fuck out.
5. Cracked mirrors. I do think they're "bad", but I think they're the most beautiful things. Hoping to start a chest piece of one next year (that won't be bad luck, will it?)
6. Animals can sense evil/darkness/"paranormal"/negative or bad energy /unicorn shit I dunno. I think it might have something to do with why I find animals so comforting... that and I watch too many supernatural horror movies maybe :p
Okay, so maybe I am a little superstitious. It's a little hard not to be when you're eccentric and a wee bit spiritual. But I think quirks like superstitions can be interesting if not taken too too seriously.
Well that's it for today! Remember to check out my first set behind the camera, Water Sprite, featuring the lovely @skylarrose. The first of many shot by me, I hope (fingers crossed!)
Auf Wiedersehen my doves!
