Between the OC Transpo bus strike (day 8) and the weather creating traffic chaos in Ottawa it's been taking me an hour and a half to drive the usual 15 minute ride to work. I've downloaded podcasts to keep myself entertained though so it's not so bad. The only thing keeping me going this week are the two days left of work before my two week Christmas vacation. I'm so looking forward to sleeping in and doing nothing on Monday morning!
In January I'm flying to Fort St. John, BC to surprise a friend. She moved out there 8 months ago for a job and I miss her terribly. Her boyfriend will pick me up from the airport and I'll be sitting on their sofa when she get's home from work! We've cleared a few days off with her boss and she has no idea!
My Christmas shopping is finished so now I have to be extra carefull not to spend too much on myself. I have a real problem around Christmas time with finding things that I like. I'll admit that I made a purchase yesterday and when the sales lady asked me if I wanted a gift receipt, I said yes! I felt so guilty!
Anyone else frustrated to no end with the current Canadian Government?

Everyone must visit Taffy Lane in Orleans! Christmas isn't complete without a drive down this wonderfully lit street.
