I'll never be able to watch the Wizard of Oz the same way ever again!
I saw WICKED on Saturday! It was absolutely amazing!
and I'm just about finished reading the book... which as usual has a better story than the play does...
I feel like I had a really dull/uneventfull weekend but it was filled with activity. Why is that?
I saw the Making of the New Man at the National Gallery on Saturday before the play. The gallery was undergoing renovations which was a shame because both the Garden and Water Courts were closed. I had hoped to spend the morning reading.
Saturday evening I stopped by a "going-away" party for a friend who's leaving for teachers college in Australia for a year.
I had people over for a bbq. A friend fell in the pond while trying to get a look at my Koi. We ended up walking to someone else's place and spent the rest of the eveing going from the pool to the hot tub.
I woke up Sunday and just felt like doing absolutely nothing. I turned off my cell phone and spent the day in the backyard with my dog and my book.
The next time you're in your backyard; blow up an air mattress, grab a blanket and spend the day lounging: BLISS.
Sunday night I went to Zaphod's to watch my friend play. YES... that's right!...The friend whose band is awfull. One day I'm sure It'll come out that I really can't stand them; but right now I think he needs support. Urgh.
Please don't judge me too hard on the next two shows I'm going to. LOL! Ya right!
New Kids on the Block! Yeah Baby! (common! if you had the chance to see a band you liked as a kid you would buy tickets too! ...wouldn't you?) It's the lamest of lame but it'll be a fun girls-weekend in Montreal!
...and NOFX. tee-hee!
