***PICS TO COME TOMORROW!**
you know when you build something up in your mind? when it comes down to the actual event and it's not as great as you were expecting? that's what my weekend was like...
i worked overtime all last week so i was pretty tired after driving to montreal on friday night. i called my friends after checking into the hotel and said that drinking was a no-go. i fell asleep so fast the next thing i knew it was morning.
i was all excited for the Tattoo Convention to start. my friend and i arrived when it opened at 12 and took a look around. there was really nothing to it. booths and competitions.
the girls from LA Ink were there (sans Kat) and there was a huge crowd around their booth. when i squeezed my way in to see if they were doing anything interresting -they weren't. they're just two girls trying to work. (i'm actualy not sure what I was expecting to see them doing?)
I bought a pair of earings and proceeded to the New Moon Tattoo booth to meet up with my artist, Glen, for my appointment.
it was kinda cool to be filmed while getting tattooed and to have people constantly stopping to watch and comment on how nice the piece is. (i obviously enjoy attention)
i was unable to sit for as long as i'd hoped however and was only able to go for 3 hours but i finished the front half of my leg. (if anyone asks you; YES! the shin hurts)
by 5pm i had had enough of the convention. you can only walk around to see the booths so many times before you start to linger on creepy.
we decided to head home. i wanted to stay until sunday to shop ti'll i dropped but better judgement told me my leg would hurt and ooze everywhere if i did. poop.
i spent all day sunday in bed. it was fucking fantastic! i woke up; watched a movie (with Harrison Ford; he was an escaped non-guilty convict looking to avenge the death of his wife) then proceeded to sleep some more, got up, made diner, went back to bed. i worked 62 hours last week so i needed to recharge my batteries. thank god i did! looks like this week could be worse than the last...
I've just watched an amazing sunset from my office window. i work for a photography company and it sucked that all the cameras were checked out tonight.
hope everyone's doing well!
loves! :

Sorry that the convention did not meet expectations. It sounds like you had a good time anyway! I cannot wait to see pics. I was listening to the Dropkicks today and thought of you.
