I've decided that moving a buisness out of a basement into an actual office is the shittiest thing in the world!
It's great that I now have an actual office with a door and a window, but moving is crappy. Last week was the heavy lifting and going up and down stairs and today we started organizing things. My manager is too cheap to hire movers, so we painfully did it ourselves.
Our computers aren't hooked up yet, we have no phones and no internet. I start my day by heading to the old office at 7:10 to check messages and e-mails, then I proceed to the new location to help set up. (did I mention my computer is on a milk carton?!!! Hopefully we'll be fully operational by Friday... Hopefully.
The only good part of this whole scenario is our new office will eventualy have a portrait studio! YAY!
I also heard through the grapevine that my ex-boyfriend has decided to do the "punk-rock-hitch-hiking-thing". When we were going out he always wanted to leave it all behind, follow some bands and hitchike across Canada and the States... now he's finaly done it. I guess I'm happy for him (we've been broken up for a year now -we went out for 4) but at the same time I'm really going to miss him. We only spoke roughly once every month but at least we still had contact; I guess you think you're over someone but you're truely not... *tear*
Last weekend was the Maxville Highland Games. The largest Highland Games in North America...
Holy Shit! I look forward to this weekend the most every year! Drinking, beer tents, bands, traditional highland competitions = GOOD TIMES! (I play drums in the Air Command Pipes and Drums band)
i'm in the back somewhere drumming
Not much else to report today I think...
OH!
I bought a really cute pair of platinum red, pointy, kitten heels today to cope with the news of the ex.

The work situation sounds like a pain in the ass. When will everything be settled?
