Been going through a classic horror phase as of late, revisiting the ones of my youth. Todays installment was Silver Bullet by Stephen King. Classic werewolf story with the late Corey Haim playing a kid confined to a wheelchair. Although the wolf looks likes a pissed off muppet with rubbery skin, the movie was all and all good. Pushes the borders of taste not to mention liability. Theres a scene where Haim goes racing down the street on this dune buggy like wheelchair his uncle made him. The camera close ups show its Haim, and hes booking it down the street on this hokey looking thing. Nowadays you can't put that in a movie because if some kid copies it and gets smeared on the highway, his parents sue the studio.
Not to mention this thing was built by the uncle played by none other than Gary Busey. I think having him play a role model was the scariest part of the movie.
Still cant beat the exorcist, maybe its the Catholic upbringing but that movie creeps the shit outta me.
