Just watched " the girl with the Dragon Tattoo". I highly endorse it as a must see. Murder, intrigue, suspense, vengeance, and some pretty hot sex scenes.
I was never one to believe in fate. I especially don't believe in coincidence. Cause, effect, yin, yang, good, evil, stimulus, reaction.....etc. Measurable and predictable variables, these I have found true. Know someone well enough, and you can learn a response with a low margin of error.
My ex wife changed that, like she did many things. Meeting her was like watching tumblers in a lock come together. If so much as one was out of sync, then the lock fails. My interactions with her, even post breakup have been like that. Like fate giving me that gentle nudge, lol. IE having her pull up beside me at a stop light, the very last night I was in town, no other cars on the road at the time. This after almost a year of not seeing her.
More than a few ex girlfriends have been coming out of the wood works in the last few months. Its creepy, and more than confusing. I smile, I nod, but my guard is always up. Still, it's nice to have someone profess affection for you, even if it does arouse suspicion.
This morning I slipped walking to work, and almost fell under the wheels of a 1 ton delivery truck. It was close. MY 6th near death experience. You'd think it would be dramatic, but it just makes a neat topic of conversation for me. Doesn't even raise my heart rate, like blinking. Still now that the day is over, can't help but think this close call was just a subtle nudge.
I guess I'll never know. You'd think a person like me who is obsessed with answers would be driven mad with an unsolvable riddle, but for some strange reason it is just making me smile....
