Come on Springtime! What are you waiting for?
I can't wait any longer. Seriously.
My toes are cold and I've spent a good percentage of the last month thinking I've lost my little fingers.
It's not so bad but when you bike everywhere and your bike is your travel and your social life, having nicer weather is just perfect.
Oh how the British love the weather.
So what's been happening?
Well of course, more polo. How could there not be?
I've been going for it. I'm playing at high speed and not opting out of any challenge.
Though for about 97% I get away with it, there's always that last few percent waiting to get me!
It's been a good while since I've gone down hard but last Saturday saw some great crashes.
One was a slip on the court where some mud had gathered where a puddle had been.
Goodbye front wheel, hello concrete. Ouch.
Then shortly after I stacked it again after locking up in a fast challenge, doing a front somersault and landing first on my elbow before smashing my back on the ground.
All par for the cause. We played for another 4 hours after that.
Work this week has been tiresome. I'm working on repeat patterns for textile print. All the creative direction has been accepted and now I'm working on the final designs.
Some will be placement prints whilst others will be repeat prints for linings of jackets, hoods, and all over prints.
The collection we're doing for SS11 looks amazing. It's all high end sport / streetwear similar to what Yohji Yamamoto does for the Adidas Y3 range. But not quite as expensive!
It's looking great but I just haven't been feeling it this week.
I just want to do some painting and not sit at the computer.
That reminds me,.. I was walking through Hackney on Sunday and right there on the steps of an old house was a watercolour painting set. Pretty much new with all the colours. It's a massive box with pull down palette! The best stuff too and they cost a fortune.
Amazing what gets left out in the rubbish.
Everything else is cool. All is well. I'm gonna take it easy tonight and maybe watch a film.
What do you reckon?:
-Pans Labyrinth
-Spring Summer Autumn Winter & Spring
-Coffee and Cigarettes
-Dr Strangelove
-Howls Moving Castle
or maybe some comedy? Mighty Boosh?
That's all I've got here that I feel I could manage.
Lemme have a think.
Speak soon.
Oh yeah...check out these polo vids.
There's some footage in the Euro Championships with me in it and also my friend shot the other one in an underground carpark / secret polo hangout underneath a castle in Germany!
You'll see me in the white tee with magic wheels! One side red and silver, other side holographic!

How's the weather there now? Spring-ish yet?
We just had 2 days of sunshine in a row. 2 DAYS. It's a miracle!
