Well right now I'm still getting to know this city. I've been doing a lot of exploring trying to find cool independent stores. Went thrift store shopping and found a bunch of vinyl for cheap. Mostly Elvis but also a Hank Williams album and ZZ Top.
These were my thrift store finds.
I found the Hank Williams album at Dinosaurs and Roses. Its a pretty cool thrift store with an art gallery upstairs. Right by my house too, I'll have to go buy some art there someday.
Then I checked out Buffalo Exchange, which I had heard good things about. But they didnt have a very large selection of mens clothes. But Cash 4 Chaos was right next door and its a pretty awesome little store. Lots of cool band ts and a lot of punk and metal on vinyl. Also checked out Zia records and bought a few albums there.
The only other record store I know about is Record City. I havent been there yet, that will have to wait for another paycheck.
If anyone lives in Vegas and knows of any cool local stores or any other places to shop for vinyl let me know. Also on the look out for good restaurants that dont cost too much. I really need to find a good indian place. I tried the Samosa factory and wasnt very impressed. I make better chicken coconut curry at home.
Still waiting on my approval for the SGVegas group. I need to find some cool people around here, still havent made many friends yet.
