2006 will kick some serious ass. Last year was not too bad, what with my getting a proper job and stepping out of the stress of having absolutely no money, but it also graced me with the two worst experiences of my life. I start the new year wishing that my little bald chick was around, but actually glad that, if my trust was going to be betrayed, it happened sooner rather than later.

Before raving about the awesome recent news, I should mention the awesomeness of hypermediocrity, SNIGGITYSNAGS, and Twigtech and The_LL, both of which are MIA. They took me out for pizza after Critical Mass (which was awesome, by the way) to celebrate my birthday. That was very sweet. I then flew off to NYC, and spent NYE with my very best friend, and saw another one whom I had not seen in close to 3 years. Gonna have to make plans to go to DC and get shit faced with her (the girl can drink anyone under a table...).

So today starts with a nice little note on my e-mail that made me happy - it is good when you take a leap of faith and say what is on your mind and the other person does not think you are nuts.

Then, there are rumors of a raise. It is not for sure, but the consensus is that the man will need to pay us more. It kinda feels like free money, which is nice.

And the really big one... I got my approval to get a work visa today. No more crappy student status. When it comes to immigration, nothing is for sure, and I'll really celebrate when I actually have the visa in my hands, but this is pretty fucking cool.

Next thing I know, I'll get back from the gym and find a naked woman in my apartment. Y'all know the address, right?

It keeps getting better...
