The movie suburbia was made in the early eighties and is about a punk squat in the LA suburbs. It has live performances by DI, TSOL and the Vandals. It is super good. It's not for the squeemish, though. Violent!

I grew up in Lansing, but similar things went on. The squats, the drugs, not the bands though .

Um, Lansing is the capital (if you didn't know) not a big city, but medium. Big enough to have its own suburbs.
