Good times.
So Thursday I get hit with a HUGE car repair bill.
Basically everything I have in my bank account.
I won't be paying until Friday, so I had some money to spend.... I decided to drop $75 into my pokerstars account.
After a few disappointing results, I decided, what the hell, and entered a $33 tournament. Now, the only reason I entered this was because of the format.
(INSERT BORING POKER TALK)
The normal tournaments I play on pokerstars give you $1500 in starting chips, and the blinds go up every 20 minutes.
This tournament was a "deep stack" tournament. They gave us $5000 in chips and had the same blind scale, but raised them every 30 minutes. It may not seem like much, but I like having the extra time and extra chips. Adds alot more skill.
ANYWAYS... there were 630 people in this tournament, and I played my best. I made one or two mistakes, but made enough of the right ones to make it all the way to the final 9. 10 hours from the time I started, my AK failed to beat a pair of 10's, so I was knocked out in 7th place, garnering a nice $661.50.
So worries about $$ are off for a little bit, I'll still have some money in my poker account, and pulled enough out to actually have food, and actually be able to take a certain someone out to dinner and yahtzee if she is interested.
Ok, its late.. and apparently I'm "ignoring" said cutie on AIM.
pskank

At least playing poker online gets you money. All the games I play just waste time.
