I've gotten some presents that make me cry in joy, aaaand some presents that made me hold back tears of sadness upon opening. I've put a lot of thought into this one and have come to the conclusion that i have to make a small list. so here you have it, my top 3 best and worst Christmas presents ever:
BEST
3) when i was only a year old (so i don't really remember, but its a famous home video) i got a small childrens couch for Christmas. the video is referred to as 'The Christmas of the Couch'. Me and me slightly older cousin, both no older than 2 years old, were yanking out each others binkies and pulling tiny pigtails literally FIGHTING over this couch. my one uncle was trying to propose, my grandma dropped the turkey, my other cousins were screaming about not getting what they wanted.... and the whole video you hear my youngest uncle (who's recording) cracking up at the infant couch war that no one but my poor 22 year old mom was worried about. I kept that couch all through childhood, and was always the coolest kid on play dates for having a mini couch.
2) I've been snow boarding once, and i loved it. when i go home i spent my savings on a long board. i've been bombing hills for about 7 years now, and always wished there was a way to lose my fear of the unforgiving pavement. when i was 18 i discovered mountain boards. i fell head over heels in obsessive love. for 6 months they were all i could talk about and read up on anytime i could. they were a whopping $500 for a beginner board. For Christmas that year, they bought me a mountain board. i sobbed i was so happy. i had my little brother pull me around the neighborhood for the rest of the day so i could try it out. i absolutely love that thing.
1)Since i've been doing SG and anything modeling, i've been running into the huge issue of not having my own laptop. this year my parents bought me the nicest touch screen laptop i could imagine. my parents aren't rich, but they have always made sure oour Christmas's are special. this was the most special thing of all. it sounds stupid, but it meant so much to me. i've never had a brand new laptop. in fact, most my electronics are hand me downs. so this laptop, meant a lot:]
WORST
3) When i was a kid i wanted a wuv wuv baby ( who remembers?!?!). when we showed up for Christmas at my grandmas, i saw one when i was looking for presents. thinking i got what i wanted i looked no further. later i unwrap my present to find....... a makeup kit (i was a huge tomboy), and i look over to see my cousin opening the wuv wuv baby..
2) my great aunt had dimensia, so i hafta give her credit for even remembering a present... but when you receive half a tube of toothpaste.. your options are limited.
1)Last year i was in a hard place trying to support my mom, and we weren't surrounded by the best people. we saved up and had gotten a small turkey and some frozen veggies and yams and stuff for a pie and were so excited for our little dinner. we went on a walk Christmas morning and came back to a completely empty fridge. her boyfriend had traded the food for who knows what. my mothers reaction was the most heartbreaking thing i've ever had to experience. by far, the worst Christmas present ever.
well there you have it!! i hope you enjoyed, and thank you if you actually read the whole thing :D
