Sadly, My family was never really stable enough to hold onto any long standing traditions, but when i was younger one of my favorites was how we'd always go up to our family's property and hike around hunting for the perfect christmas tree. it was always such an adventure to find it, cut it down, and drag it back to the car. it was so fun to have our own tree with character and patchy spots, i always loved it.
