Just a quick note to let you know that I've arrived safely in Boise. I'll post more later this morning.
Hint: it's happy news.
edit: Over the weekend I tried to get in touch with J, but she was at GenCon and her brothers refuse to grow up, and she enables that behavoir, so her phone died at some point, but anyway. She got back Monday night/Tuesday morning, and had to go into work that same morning, and then had to clean her room/bathroom that evening because company's coming for Thanksgiving weekend. Basically this meant that the only time we could meet was immediately after she got off work, and before I drove to Boise. Which we did, at a Starbucks near her work, and I'm really glad, because our telephone goodbye was less than satisfying. Meeting one last time for 20 minutes was just really nice for me, and I think for her too. And, no, it's not a "last time," in that I will be visiting Salt Lake, probably for the next MountainCon, and hopefully before then. BYU runs a speculative fiction forum in February called "Life, the Universe, and Everything" that I kind of want to go to. Seeing J and other friends pushes that desire over the top.
In other news, since I don't have to pay rent this month, I went ahead and bought a new iPod. The radio stations in Boise suck.
If you marry me, would you bury me? Would you carry me to the end?
